Who is responsible for the environmental damage?

 

  The environmental and ecological issue has been a problem of great confusion which pushed governments around the globe to institutionalize protocols and agreements with a view to shielding the Earth. To my mind, individuals are twice as responsible to protect the planet as the authorities.

  To begin with, the environmental damage is one of the greatest problems humanity has to deal with over the last decade. Hence, the question is: "How did we get in such a trouble?". The answer is quite easy to conceive as it is adjusted to everyday citizen's lifestyle. To be more specific, due to the rapid development of technology which results in the increase in living conditions, people got used to enjoying a easier life without caring about their negative impact on the planet.

 Moreover, with a view to a stronger argumentation some extra details must be mentioned. Instantly, it is now evident that every individual is used to facilitating their lives by using cars, relaxing in huge pools or just drinking a soda which has been produced in a factory of no environmentally friendly policies. Thus, there are the little harmful habits that the citizens of 21st century have, which lees or more ruin the Earth's ecological stability.

Furthermore, it should not be meant that the authorities do not have responsibility for the bad planet's conditions. Yet, it must be understood that even though governments and businesses impose non-environmentally friendly policies or launch products which ruin the Earth's biodiversity, it is the individuals who support them by both electing them and economically boosting them. 

To sum up with, while living in a civilized society of democracy; peoples' will is above every authority so, should we want to ensure better life conditions for our children, we may not take simple, every-day choices for granted.
