Multiculturalism and cultural identities

While we are living in a society which is developing continuously, we all someday have to co-exist with people of foreign cultural and national identities. Hence, with a view to a harmonious living we should all respect their habits by promoting multiculturalism.

To begin with, before analyzing to the point, it must be understood that we are citizens of a world of more than two hundred countries and a population of seven billion people. Thus, it is practically impossible, even to imagine a society, which does not contain different cultures, habits and traditions. Of course, this kind of diversity in population’s customs is by far the most interesting part of our history, while every country’s and individual’s root is based on their everyday life.

Moreover, in multicultural community, the right of people to celebrate their homeland’s customs should not be under disputation and malice, but people comprehend the form of these celebrations which is only an entertaining way to revive cultural aspects of peoples’ identities. Additionally, it is obvious that people alleviate or offend other cultures which is an action that is literally unachievable.

Furthermore, while it has already been mentioned, humanity’s beauty, is the diversity of mentalities. Hence, should people dread to express themselves by their customs, and therefore the cultures be in recession, humans will lose their individuality. As a result, our manners will become impersonal, unvaried and our desire for celebrations will become prosaical.

To summarize with, human expression and entertainment through customs is not considered as a threat for weakening other social identities, while all cultures are completely different.
